About Honey’s Baking
The seed for Honey’s Baking was planted the summer of 2010 when two of Honey’s friends asked her to make their wedding cake. Honey had no prior experience with wedding cakes, but she accepted the challenge, and under the guidance of a family friend she delivered a 3-tier carrot cake adorned with fresh flowers. The success of that first wedding cake inspired Honey to move to New York where she applied for an internship at Betty Bakery in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Upon the completion of her internship, Honey was hired at Betty Bakery and spent the next few months fine-tuning her skills and learning from the talented bakers and cake decorators that surrounded her.
Since her return to Charleston in the fall of 2011, Honey has been baking, decorating and delivering cakes and cupcakes for all occasions, and she anticipates many sweet years to come!
